Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD

Gain understanding about the connections between thoughts, feelings, behavior and bodily sensations. CPT provides a way to understand why recovery from traumatic events is difficult and how symptoms of PTSD affect daily life.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a cognitive-behavioral therapy (treatment that focuses on thoughts and feelings) for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). CPT focuses on the connections between thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and bodily sensations. Experiencing a traumatic event can often make you feel "stuck" and get in the way of recovering from symptoms of PTSD and other problems. CPT consists of 12 structured therapy sessions where we will work together to identify and challenge your unhelpful thoughts.
