Family Therapy

Reconnect, Rebuild, Recover.

Often times parents are afraid to come to family therapy because they are worried they will be blamed for the problems of the client. That is NOT my approach. I believe that for lasting change to occur the entire family system should be supported. My aim for family therapy is to help caregivers learn how to support their loved one's mental health and well-being - regardless of age.

I have received training in Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and utilize this  framework in our sessions together. This will entail supporting caregivers in learning how to interrupt unhelpful behavior patterns of their loved ones, offering targeted emotional support, facilitating therapeutic apologies to help let go of old self-blame/pain, and resolve any fears or obstacles that may get in the way of the caregiver supporting their loved one during this challenging and novel time.

No Surprises Act Notification and Good Faith Estimate Notification You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
